There are more than 6,000 types of plants in Greece, and about 750 of them exist nowhere else in the world.
Greeks do not wave with an open hand. In fact, it is considered an insult to show the palm of your hand with the fingers extended. They wave with the palm closed.
One of the world’s first cookbooks, Gastronomia, was written in the 5th century BC by a Greek named Archestratus.
