I have to post this.
My mom’s friend in Ohio has a very aggressive squirrel in her backyard.
Seems he stops by periodically to, {ahem} work out some of his aggressions on her rabbit statue.
Also, he bangs on her neighbor’s door demands food. Definitely the alpha male in the hood.
And here in Mexico, we got a new neighbor.
He (she?) was just hanging out in front of our apartment, probably trying to suck some heat off the walls because it was a chilly night. Both of us are such city dorks, we don’t know if it’s poisonous or not. We just kept our distance and made sure the door to the apartment was closed… very tightly.
The real reason for this post though is so I can once again thank the in-laws, my mother-in-law specifically, for taking such good care of Lagniappe. She looks like she’s on vacation.
Of course, she’s such a chicken, she’ll get close to the water, but she’ll never willingly go into it. We put her in it once and she made a bee-line for the stairs and gave us the stink eye for the rest of the day.
Ugh, we miss our dog.
Saw Lagniappe yesterday. She looks very well treated. 🙂 She sat in my lap for 20 minutes and begged for pork. I do believe she misses you, too! 🙂
