MISSION ChAIRS
LiNDA A. HuRwitz is the National Campaign chair of The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA). She is the immediate past president and past chair of National Women’s Philanthropy (NWP), and recently served as JFNA’s National Training chair.
Linda was the 2009 Campaign chair for The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore and has also served as the Federation’s Young Women’s Leadership chair, Women’s Department Campaign chair, Major Gifts, New Gifts and Upgrade chair.
Linda is chair now of Planning and Allocations for The Associated. A founding co-chair of the Ashkelon Partnership with Baltimore, she has served as chair of The Associated’s Commission on Israel and Overseas. She is also a past president of the Board of Trustees of the Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community Day School.
Linda has received all three of The Associated Young Leadership Awards.
She is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Foundation and the ACHARAI: Shoshana S. Cardin Leadership Development Institute.
She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke University in education, and earned a degree from The Johns Hopkins University in administration and supervision of education.
ANN BAiDAcK PAvA is chair of National Women’s Philanthropy (NWP) of The Jewish Federations of North America. She previously served as NWP’s vice chair for Education
and Leadership Development. She is a past president of the Jewish Federation of
Western Massachusetts and immediate past chair of Women’s Philanthropy of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford.
A passionate advocate for Jewish day school education, Ann was the founding president of the Hebrew High School of New England, the region’s first Jewish high school,
which serves the communities of Western Massachusetts and of Greater Hartford and New Haven, Connecticut.
In 2006, Ann was recognized as an outstanding woman philanthropic leader when she received the Kipnis-Wilson/ Friedland award at the International Lion of Judah Conference in Washington, D.C. She is also a recipient of the ADL’s Torch of Liberty Award, the Harold Grin-spoon Foundation’s Lay Leadership Award for Excellence in Jewish Education, and the Philip E. Saks Young Leadership Award of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts. Ann is married to Jeremy Pava. They have three children: Harvey, who is married to Devorah Deutsch; and Nathaniel and Devorah.
JeFFRey KoRBmAN is a woodworker. He loves to make furniture. Even better, he loves to make furniture for a Jewish cause or reason. However, he’s not that good. He therefore must fundraise to pay the bills.
In this capacity, he runs the Annual Campaign and major fundraising initiatives as assistant executive director of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest. And although it’s not woodworking, he is blessed in many ways. First, he has a terrific staff
